S. S. Rajamouli's visual wonder Baahubali: The Beginning, starring Prabhas, Rana, Aunshka Shetty, Tamannah Bhatia, Ramyakrishna, Satyaraj and Nasser, was released in 2015 and created many records at the box office. It created tsunami not only at the Telugu box office but also at the Indian box office. It was made in Telugu and Tamil and dubbed into Hindi and Malayalam languages and became blockbuster in all versions.
It was the first Indian film to collect more than 500 crore in India. It was also the first Telugu film to collect 300 cr share and 600 cr gross at the box-office. From Telugu version only it collected 190 cr share, which was more than twice of previous best Attarintiki Daredi, which was around 75 cr. Baahubali was the first dubbed film in Hindi to collect 100 crore nett. Considering worldwide box-office collections of Indian cinema, it stood at 3rd position after PK (752 cr) and Bhajarangi Bhaijaan (625 cr) with 602 cr.

Its good content helped in maintaining the same speed at the box office in the remaining days. Now they are targeting international audience.

Producers of Baahubali made international version of the film, which was trimmed by 30 minutes, is going to release this July in China. It will be released in over 6500 screens by E Stars in China. “This will be the biggest ever release for an Indian film in China, superseding Aamir Khan’s ‘PK’, which released in 5,000 screens. The makers had planned to release the film this month, however, it had to be postponed due to unavailability of suitable dates,” a source from the production team told IANS.
It looks very easy to cross Bhajarangi Bhaijaan which collected just 25 crore more than Baahubali: The Beginning. But to beat PK and become no.1 grosser of Indian cinema, Baahubali has to do big at China box-office. PK collected more than 100 crore from the China box office only and proved if content reached the audience, 100 crore would be a simple task. As Baahubali : The Beginning content applauded by whole world, it may do big at Chines box office too.
Another 150 crore in the bag will make Baahubali : The Beginning as No.1 grosser of Indian Cinema. Let us hope Baahubali will entertain the Chinese audience as well.
