RRR, the highest grossing Telugu film post pandemic, is a milestone film in S.S. Rajamouli's career. It received positive feedback not only from Indian audience but also from the western audience. The film re-released in USA few months back and running successfully with limited no. of shows every week.
RRR released in Japan 3 weeks ago and opened to record breaking collections by grossing ¥ 200 M in 20 days itself. The movie is still running successfully and will beat Baahubali 2 soon in Japan. Makers are also planning to release in China and a date will be announced soon.
The latest developments from RRR is that a sequel work is in progress. In a recent interview, Rajamouli confirmed that his father Vijayendra Prasad, who writes stories to all his films, started working on the story for RRR's sequel and they had a bit of discussion as well to decide how it should be.
It is interesting to see whether it will be a stand alone film on Alluri Sitaramaraju or Komaram Bheem or both characters will be part of it. Rajamouli is currently working on pre-production of his next with Mahesh Babu and shooting will start next year
